Nguyen Manh Cuong (born in 1999, from Hai Duong) is currently a student of class D33C - University of Fire Prevention and Fighting. In the past 3 school years, Cuong has achieved many remarkable achievements in studying and movement activities of the school and the Ministry of Public Security. Below are Cuong's shares about the process of studying and training at the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting. Born into a family whose father was a military officer, his childhood dream was to join the armed forces to protect the peaceful and happy life of the people. That was also the reason why I registered to enroll in the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting and was extremely happy when I received the school's admission notice.
Nguyen Manh Cuong's self-study time at the school dormitory.
Stepping into the school of the people's armed forces, even though I had mentally prepared in advance, military life still couldn't help but surprise me. Strict schedules are the first challenge that all new police students must overcome. However, for me this is not a big problem because in the past I also had the habit of waking up early to prepare lessons before going to class, and partly due to the influence of "military discipline" in my family. For me, the first difficulty is physical strength. Because in the past, when I was in high school, I rarely participated in physical activities, so physical-related subjects at the university level, and even team command training sessions in hot weather, made me quite tired and strenuous in the beginning. And I overcame this challenge by jogging at the end of every afternoon. This is a simple sport and has many health benefits. Not only that, it also helps me practice endurance, perseverance and determination, conquer laziness at the end of the day and overcome fatigue and boredom while practicing to conquer myself. This has also helped me overcome other challenges in studying and training. Studying and training under the roof of the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting is a great honor for me. Every day, I meet, interact and learn many useful things from teachers, friends, who are also my comrades and teammates, from knowledge, working style to how to treat people. Each comrade is like a book, giving me a new horizon, opening my eyes and improving myself. I am an introverted person. When I was in school, I rarely participated in cultural and artistic activities, partly because I was shy, partly because I realized I had no talent for performing on stage. At the university level, with the encouragement of my teachers and teammates, I began participating in school clubs, participating in a number of competitions and achieving certain achievements. These activities not only help me become more confident and mature, but also help me make many great friends. After 3 years of studying and practicing in school, I have achieved some of the following outstanding achievements: - First prize in the ACM/ICPC Asia International Student Programming Contest in Vietnam in 2018. - Third prize in the Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad in 2018. - Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Public Security "Achieved excellent achievements in the ACM/ICPC Asia International Student Programming Contest in Vietnam in 2018". – Title of "5-Good Student" at the Ministry level for the 2018-2019 school year. – Certificate of Merit from the Department of Training: Achieved the title of excellent student in the 2018 - 2019 school year. - Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Public Security: "Outstanding Police Youth Award" in 2019. - Certificate of Merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union: "Outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and school youth movements in the 2019 - 2020 school year". Regarding other activities: - Won second prize in the school-level Informatics Olympiad Contest in the 2018 - 2019 school year. - Won first prize in the "Amazing worldwide festivals" competition in the 2018 - 2019 school year. - Won first prize in the "Save the world, save the furture" competition in the 2019 - 2020 school year. - Certificate of Merit from the University Principal Fire Prevention and Fighting: "There have been excellent achievements in the Summary of Directive No. 04-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo, Directive No. 04/CT-BCA dated May 19, 2018 of the Ministry of Public Security and the Campaign 'Building a brave and humane style of People's Police to serve the people'". – Won Third Prize in the contest "Learning the traditional history of the Vietnam People's Police Force" in the 2020 - 2021 school year. - Won Second Prize in the contest "Learn about tobacco harm prevention..." in the 2020 - 2021 school year. To be able to achieve the above achievements, I have received a lot of attention and encouragement from teachers in the school, brothers and sisters in the School Youth Union Executive Committee, as well as friends and relatives. Dear comrades and comrades.
Cuong received the "Outstanding Police Youth Award" in 2019.
As a young person, I think students need to participate more in youth activities and movements to become confident, improve themselves as well as help others in the community. Dare to think, dare to do to gain new experiences, to discover yourself and overcome your own limits to do many useful things for yourself and for society. And finally, be persistent, persistent, and determined to pursue the goals you have set. If you haven't succeeded, it's just because you haven't spent enough time on it. Finally, wish the students success on the path you have chosen. As for me, I will also try harder in studying and training, so that I can become a people's police officer who is "both rosy and professional" to help society.
