From the beginning of the year until now, 20 fires have occurred in Ha Tinh province, of which 12 were due to electrical system and equipment failures. This situation shows that the risk of fire and explosion caused by electricity continues to become complicated, especially in prolonged hot weather conditions.

Fire in the product display area of Hao Quang Wood Processing and Trading Co., Ltd. on the afternoon of April 12, 2026.
Typically, on the afternoon of April 12, a fire occurred in the product display area of Hao Quang Wood Processing and Trading Co., Ltd. (Thanh Sen ward). The fire broke out from the third floor of the building - where many flammable materials are concentrated, making firefighting difficult. After nearly 2 hours of deployment, the functional forces controlled and completely extinguished the fire. The incident did not cause any loss of life but damaged many properties and affected the structure of the building. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified, initially determined to be related to an electrical incident. Previously, on January 22, a fire occurred in the garage and warehouse of Mr. Le Sy Thong's household, residing in Tung Loc commune, burning 01 car and many other assets, causing a total loss of more than 400 million VND. The cause was determined to be due to system and electrical equipment problems. Through incidents, it has been shown that electrical incidents are one of the leading causes of fires and explosions today. The main risks come from degraded electrical systems, improper installation, overloaded wires, unsafe connections, lack of protective equipment or unsafe use of electrical equipment. To prevent fires and explosions caused by electricity, authorities advise people to use electricity properly and not plug many high-power devices into the same outlet; Do not leave flammable items near heat sources or electrical equipment; Regularly inspect, maintain, and replace damaged electrical systems and equipment. When using heat-generating devices such as irons and electric stoves, someone must be supervised; Turn off the power when not in use. In the coming time, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Police will continue to strengthen inspection and guidance on facilities with high risk of fire and explosion; Urging the installation of fire alarm communication equipment according to regulations; Coordinate with functional agencies to promptly detect and overcome problems and limitations in the electrical system, contributing to ensuring fire safety and rescue in the area./.
