Expressing his emotion and pride in welcoming the delegation at Simon Bolivar International Airport, Ambassador Vu Trung My expressed his admiration for Vietnam's forces for not fearing the distance, marching halfway around the world to Venezuela in less than 48 hours after receiving instructions from the leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, and Ministry of Defense to join hands with other countries and international organizations to share difficulties with your country.
On the same afternoon, Major General Gustavo González López, Minister of the Venezuelan Armed Forces, visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Rescue Team.
At the headquarters of the Vietnamese delegation, Major General Gustavo González López expressed his appreciation for the sense of responsibility, professionalism and efforts of the Vietnamese rescue force immediately after arriving in Venezuela. At the same time, he affirmed that Vietnam's timely support is a vivid testament to the solidarity, friendship and international responsibility between the two countries.

On behalf of the Working Group, the Commander of the Vietnam Rescue Team thanked the attention of the leaders of the Venezuelan Ministry of Armed Forces; affirmed that officers and soldiers of the People's Army and the People's Public Security of Vietnam will coordinate closely with the forces of other countries, making efforts to overcome all difficulties to successfully complete the search and rescue mission, contributing to helping the Venezuelan people quickly overcome the consequences of the disaster and stabilize their lives.
