On the evening of June 6, 2026, in Hue City, the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 People's Army Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival - Region 2 took place. Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and chaired the ceremony. The 2026 People's Army Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival took place from April 4 to 2026. June 11, 2020, with 16 military and martial arts teams and 18 sports teams participating. This is an annual activity to contribute to improving physical strength, bravery, professional skills and discipline for officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security force, and is also an opportunity to exchange and learn between units. Participating in this Sports Festival, the University of Fire Prevention and Control sent a delegation of nearly 100 athletes to compete in the following content: military, martial arts, football and pickleball. In particular, there was the participation of two athletes, Colonel La Xuan Luc - Vice Principal and Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai - Vice Principal, in the two events of shooting and pickleball. The teams will compete in the group stage in Region II, with the goal of achieving high results to participate in the national finals on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day in August 2026 in Da Nang City, as well as participating in the 10th National Sports Festival at the end of 2026.
